Nitric Acid or often called Nitric Acid (HNO3) is a type of colorless corrosive fluid, and is a toxic acid that can cause burns. A nitric acid solution with a nitric acid content of more than 86% is called the smoky nitric acid, and can be divided into 2 types of acids, namely white smoky nitric acid and red smoky nitric acid.
Nitric Acid has many uses in the industry. One of the main uses of HNO3 is for passivation of steel or stainless steel after the fabrication process is completed, before being used to store certain chemicals.
